This stylish yet completely casual five-bedroom villa is made up of a series of traditional Balinese pavilions arranged around a stunning swimming pool and surrounded by lush tropical greenery. It's the ideal location for extended families or groups of friends looking to get away from it all while still being close to Canggu's restaurants, shops, and nightlife.
The villa's five air-conditioned bedrooms are spread across three pavilions and feature king-size beds draped in mosquito netting, ensuite bathrooms with single or double basins made from ancient Chinese ceramic bowls, and walk-in rain showers.
One of the two bedrooms in the main living pavilion has a private shaded terrace with rattan armchairs overlooking the garden, while the second room has peaceful views of the ornamental lotus pond. The master bedroom takes up an entire pavilion and can be accessed from the side of the main living pavilion via the wooden walkway above the ornamental pond or through the sliding glass doors from the pool deck. The bathroom features a bathtub and a private massage table. In the third stand-alone pavilion facing the pool, two smaller bedrooms of similar design share a communal living space with several seating areas to enjoy.
The 12 meter swimming pool is the focal point of the villa, surrounded by a sociably sized wooden pool deck, making it ideal for entertaining and lounging. To enjoy the Bali sunshine, single and double sun loungers with umbrellas are placed around the pool. An elevated mini yoga studio at the end of the pool, behind the master suite, is ideal for those looking for a quiet morning of meditation and asanas while admiring the sparkling pool.
At Villa Desa Roro, the open-sided living room serves as the main gathering place for visitors and has views of the garden, pond, and pool. The villa's distinct style and atmosphere are attributed to a collection of paintings and exotic artifacts from South East Asia and the Indonesian archipelago. Guests can gather on one of the two cozy sofas beneath the wooden joglo's lofty roof.
