Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Meet on arrival at Hanoi International Airport and transfer to the hotel for check-in. (Check in time is 2 pm). There is then free time at leisure.
Dinner is to your own arrangement.
Overnight is in Hanoi.
Please note: The standard airport pick-up time is between 07:00 and 19:00. Outside of the regular pick-up times, the surcharge will inform at the booking time.
Day 2: Hanoi Full Day City Tour

A day of fascinating exploration starts with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (exterior only) and the former president’s stilt house where Uncle Ho lived from 1958 to 1969. We then head to the iconic One-Pillar Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. In the afternoon we visit the Temple of Literature; Ngoc Son Temple; Hoan Kiem Lake; and enjoy a water puppet show performance, a unique Vietnamese art form that takes its origins from rural festivals in Vietnam. We then take a fun stroll around the Old Quarter to explore 36 old streets before heading to a traditional coffee shop to enjoy a glass of refreshing Bia Hoi, locally brewed beer.

Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay
Breakfast at hotel.
Our tour of magical Ha Long Bay takes in a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has over 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald waters, many of them containing picturesque grottoes. Our excursion starts with a drive to the Bay (160km, approximately four hours) for the overnight cruise. The boat leaves the pier at between 12.30-1 pm, with lunch served immediately after departure. Then we are free to discover magical Ha Long Bay which is known as the ‘dragon descending into the sea.’ Optional activities include swimming, kayaking, cooking demonstrations and night squid fishing.
You will enjoy dinner and overnight on board.
Please note: The cruise itinerary and schedule is subject to seasonal weather conditions. Asian Trails’ tour guide does not join the group on board, there will be an English-speaking guide of the cruise company to take care of the passengers during Halong boat trip.
Day 4: Ha Long – Hanoi
We continue the cruise through magical Ha Long Bay until we dock at 12 noon and proceed back to Hanoi. Free time at leisure to explore Hanoi on own.
Lunch and dinner are to your own arrangement. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 5: Hanoi – Cam Ranh
Breakfast at hotel.
Free time at leisure until transfer to Noi Bai Airport for flight to Cam Ranh. Transfer to hotel for check-in and rest of day at leisure to enjoy the resort facility.

Day 6: Cam Ranh – Nha Trang
Breakfast at hotel.
The splendour of Nha Trang’s idyllic seascape is revealed on a boat cruise. We are picked up from our resort in Cam Ranh and are conveyed to the dock. We then set off on a journey of discovery through turquoise waters and past beautiful tropical islands resplendent with pristine white sands and verdant forested interiors. We enjoy lunch on board, or at an island on the way. In the afternoon, back on land, we visit the famed Loc Tho Pagoda. This highly detailed shrine features a roof decorated with a montage of dragons meticulously fashioned from glass and ceramic. We then proceed to Po Nagar Cham Towers, a sacred 2nd century Hindu site – with the towers added between the 7th and 12th centuries. Devotees flock to this site to honour the Goddess Yang Ino Po Nagar, the deity of the Dua clan. We then stroll around lively Dam Market before the return to the hotel in Cam Ranh.

Day 7: Cam Ranh – Mui Ne

Today we drive to Mui Ne from Cam Ranh (NO GUIDE). Upon arrival in Mui Ne, check-in and free time at leisure to enjoy the resort.

Day 8: Half Day White Sand Dune by Jeep
Breakfast at hotel.
Sun, sand and sea, this adventure has it all! We start with a transfer from the hotel to Suoi Tien, known as The Fairy Stream, where we connect with nature during a short walk along the seaside to view colourful sand formations. This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vietnam. We then proceed to Mui Ne Fishing Village where the guide will give a fascinating insight into the lives of fisherfolk who head out to sea in all weather conditions to catch a bounty
of seafood. We then head off in our stylish mode of transport, a Jeep, along a scenic coastal road, passing abundant dragon fruit plantations. We stop for a relaxing barefoot walk along a beach, near lotus lake or ‘white lake’ as it is known by the locals. We will arrive at some more colourful sand dunes pre-sunset, with the opportunity to enjoy some sand surfing, followed by a cold drink (to own account) as we watch the sun slowly dip into the ocean – the perfect end to a perfect day.

Overnight in Mui Ne
Day 9: Mui Ne – Ho Chi Minh
Breakfast at hotel.
Free time at leisure then check-out of resort. Head for lunch at local restaurant before transfer to Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh, check-in at hotel and free time to explore the city on own.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnel – Ho Chi Minh City
Breakfast at hotel.
Today we drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of underground tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the American War, followed by the return to Ho Chi Minh City.
After lunch at local restaurant, we tour the War Remnants Museum, the Central Post Office and walk outside of the Reunification Palace, with free shopping time at the central Ben Thanh Market, or Le Cong Kieu Street, which has stores selling antiques and then Yersin Market.
Dinner is to your own arrangement. Overnight is in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City – Depart
Breakfast at hotel.
Free time at leisure until transfer to the airport for the flight to UK.

Tipping is becoming more and more common in Vietnam and many staff in the service industry depends on your tip to make a living. However, as always tipping is discretionary and should always express your satisfaction with services and treatment received by the hotel, restaurant staff, tour guides and drivers. Please tip when you are happy and satisfied; do not feel obliged to do so when you are not convinced about the services received.

- Restaurant (local, middle, high class) 5-10% of the total bill is appreciated;
- Tour guides USD3-5/day/guest;
