Itinerary

  • Meet & Greet at the airport and transfer to your hotel

Our representative will meet you in the arrival area of the airport after you clear all immigration and custom formalities. Depart for your hotel where you will check in for your stay

India’s capital and a major gateway to the country, contemporary Delhi is a bustling metropolis, which successfully combines in its folds - the ancient with the modern. Amidst the fast spiraling skyscrapers the remnants of a bygone time in the form of its many monuments stand as silent reminders to the region’s ancient legacy.

Optional Visit:
Mutiny Tour: a walk that offers fascinating insight into Delhi's British roots.
The walking tour will start from the Mutiny Memorial, erected by the British to commemorate those killed during the First war of Indian Independence. Continue onto the Nicholson cemetery, an Anglican Church built in 1836 (making it one of the oldest churches in Delhi) and then onto the William Fraser Bungalow (the former home of the British Commissioner of Delhi and constructed in 1803). The walk lasts for 3-4 hours and will be a fascinating insight into Delhi's British roots

Full day tour of Old and New Delhi

After breakfast, proceed for the full day city tour of Old & New Delhi including visit of the 17th century Jama Masjid and enjoy normal rickshaw ride through the narrow, winding lanes of colourful and bustling Chandni Chowk.. Also stop in front of the Mughal Empire’s most opulent fort, the Red Fort for a photo stop. Later Visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated.

Afternoon proceed to New Delhi where you will be taken for the Drive past of The Presidential Palace, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys, the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war and a drive along the Rajpath past the Parliament House and secretarial buildings.

Afterwards visit Qutab Minar, the 12th century tower of victory built by a slave king and prototype of all minars (towers) in India. Also visit the 16th century Humayun’s tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal.

Today morning, you will drive to Agra – the city of Taj Mahal !

Once a small village on the banks of the Yamuna, it was transformed by two great Mughal monarchs, Akbar and his grandson Shah Jehan into the second capital of the Mughal Empire – Dar-ul-Khilafat, or ‘seat of the Emperor’ in the 16th & 17th century.

Arrive Agra and you will met by our guide who will take you for the visit of Agra Fort, which was originally started by Emperor Akbar in 1565, but his son, Jahangir, and grandson, Shah Jahan, later made valuable additions to it.

After the visit, check-in at the hotel.

Later, enjoy a Visit to Mehtab Bagh for the splendid views of the Taj Mahal in the lap of serene landscaped surroundings. It is a great place to get unique shots of the ever majestic Taj Mahal. In fact this garden itself offers many beautiful photo opportunities. Mehtab Bagh was built as an integral part of the Taj complex as the gardens of the Taj are perfectly aligned with Mehtab Bagh, making it the best place to view the Taj from.

Optional visit:
Volunteer visit to Sheroes Hang out Café – A Café managed by brave Acid attack survivors, the café serves you food with a flavour of love and warmth. The Café has been identified on social media as, “A venue where new wave feminism evolves every day to overcome the challenges faced by women.”

Overnight in Agra at Trident, Agra

  • Sunrise visit to Taj Mahal
  • Return to the hotel for breakfast
  • Later, drive to Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri

Early morning you will be taken to witness the sunrise visit of the Taj Mahal (Closed on All Fridays) with your guide. On the inner walls, jewel-like stones create beautiful designs in white marble. The Mughals perfected the art of embedding semi-precious stones into marble and the Taj is the finest example of this special process called pietra dura. It begins with a marble plate, varying in size. Then jewels are sliced paper thin and embedded in the marble with such precision that the joints are invisible to the naked eye.

Return to the hotel for breakfast. Check out and drive to Jaipur.
You will visit the once seat of Mughal legacy, which is an abandoned city glowing red under the sun, Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted red sandstone city built by the Great Mughal Emperor, Akbar, as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is just 37kms from Agra.

Arrive Jaipur and check in at the hotel. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

JAIPUR – the capital of Rajasthan province is known for its arts and crafts, jewellery, hand-painted fabrics and stone sculptures; it is one of North India’s finest examples of a planned city embodying the best of Rajput and Mughal architecture.

  • Visit Amber fort – a UNESCO world heritage site
  • Half day city tour of Jaipur visiting City Palace, Observatory & drive past Palace on Winds

Today morning after an early breakfast visit the hilltop fortress at Amber. A jeep will spare you the trouble of reaching up to the fortress. Once on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls

En-route to Amber Fort you will stop and see the `Palace of Winds’, otherwise known as Hawa Mahal (Only Drive past). It is really an elaborate façade, extremely intricate in its pink sandstone carving.

Afternoon visit the City Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways.

Afterwards visit Jaipur's Jantar Mantar is the most famous of five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh in India. Jai Singh was a great admirer of progresses and research made in the fields of science and technology, and he was passionate about astronomy

Bazaar, Cuisine & Crafts of Old Jaipur:
From its creation in 1727 the royal families and nobles of Jaipur patronised the craftsmen and artisans of the city. These traditions continue to this day and as a result modern day Jaipur is considered by many as the craft capital of India. Traditional methods are still used to produce many valuable and highly prized items. Using skills passed down through generations, artisans and master craftsmen can be seen in the areas of Ghat Darwaza and Vishveshwar ji. On this fascinating evening walk mingle and talk with the locals whilst sampling some of the regions culinary delights; try pakoras, aloo tiki, samosa and sweets from some of the city’s most popular street food vendors. Observe local artisans in their workshops; jewellers and silversmiths, gold and silver foil makers. The iconic Hawa Mahal also called the Palace of the winds is the meeting point at which this two and a half hour walk begins.

Today morning you will drive to Chhatrasagar. It is an utterly peaceful retreat midway between the princely cities of Jaipur and Jodhpur. The camp sits on the edge of a man-made lake created more than a century ago. Situated on a large and beautiful 100 year old reservoir in remote Nimaj between Jodhpur and Jaipur. It is much like an oasis in an otherwise arid landscape and is surrounded by lush green spaces and stunning views. A stay here is perfect for those with an interest in wildlife or those wanting to explore rural Rajasthan.

Upon arrival proceed for check-in at the Camp. In afternoon, you have an option to walk around the farming land to get a glimpse of local life or enjoy a leisurely time at the pool side.

  • Morning experience bird watching around the camp area
  • Later, drive to Mihirgarh with enroute stop in Jodhpur
  • Evening at leisure

This leisurely campsite on the dam is a perfect place to venture into bird watching. Chhatrasagar has a very diverse bird life around, comprising of over 200 species. From inquisitive green bee-eaters and iridescent blue kingfishers to flocks of shoveler ducks. In a word, the camp site is a magic for birding enthusiasts.

Later in the morning drive to Mihirgah with a stop enroute at Jodhpur to visit the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort. The Mehrangarh Fort is sprawled across a 125-meter high hill and is the most impressive and formidable fort in the fort-studded Rajasthan. On the wall adjacent to the Lohapol or “Iron Gate” are 15 handprints, the sati marks of the widows of Maharaja Man Singh who threw themselves upon his funeral pyre in 1843. Inside the fort, which is still run by the Maharaja of Jodhpur, there is a whole series of courtyards and palaces.

After the visits, continue your drive to Mihirgarh – a rustic village in the outskirts of Jodhpur, arrive and check in at the luxury property. Spend rest of the evening at leisure.

This day is for you to explore the rural part of India which is yet untouched by mass tourism. Your accommodation perfectly blends with this local set up giving you ample opportunities to relax out of the chaotic cities.

This afternoon, embark on a village Safari which enables you to feel the pulse of rural Rajasthan. The little mud houses, the turban clad men, the shy, beautiful women, dressed in their traditional costumes and the market with its rich display of wares will certainly bewitch you. To make this experience, even more intimate, you could visit the homes of the village folks and share a slice of their life.

  • Afternoon jeep safari to spot leopards

After a leisurely morning, drive to Jawai. The rugged terrain of Jawai is an ideal place for you to break journey and see an India which is fast disappearing. The area is renowned for exceptional leopard sightings and bird watching.

Leopards are Jawai’s predominant attraction and you can track these normally elusive big cats with the camp’s trackers and drivers in their customized 4x4 safari jeeps. It offers an exclusive wildlife experience, uninhibited by restrictions as the surrounding countryside is not a part of a National Park but a vast sprawling wilderness of craggy hills, scrub, grasslands & winding sand riverbeds.

In the afternoon, proceed for a leopard safari, it is here, that you can experience the close encounter with this beautiful animal from the cat family.

  • Drive to Udaipur with enroute stop at Ranakpur Jain temples

Proceed for an early morning safari to spot the leopard. There are very good chances of sighting in the morning hours as the leopards like to be out and roam around near water bodies.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and check out. Later leave for Udaipur with a stop at Ranakpur to visit the Jain temples (with audio guide only).

Arrive Udaipur and check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Udaipur is often called the "Venice of the East" and the most romantic city in the state of Rajasthan. Udaipur nestles like a gem in a valley surrounded by green hills, reflected smooth and white in the clear blue waters of Lake Pichola. The city is a kaleidoscope of narrow lanes flanked by bright stalls, gardens, lakes, palaces and temples.

Today you will proceed for city tour of Udaipur.

Sites to visit include:
City Palace: the majestic palace is actually a conglomerate of eleven palaces overlooking the sprawling Lake Pichola. Tour the private collection of precious and rare crystals from the Royal treasure. For more than 100 years the crystals remained underground, and the gallery was not open to public prospect due to its beauty and richness.

Jagdish Temple: dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is located in the centre of the old city. The temple has a black marble image of Lord which is unusual for the northern part of the country, where statues of Gods are normally in white marble.

Sahelion-ki-bari: the spectacular garden displaying the unique lifestyle of the royal ladies who once lived in the Palaces. .

In the afternoon, take a common boat cruise on the placid waters of Lake Pichola towards Jag Mandir Palace, which covers almost four acres and is noted for its marble pavilion and an imposing dome.

Overnight is in Udaipur at Taj Lake Palace

  • Arrive Delhi and take the onward flight back home (room can be booked for a night stay in Delhi on departure – if required
