Probably the best known of the attractions at Yas Island is Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the world's first Ferrari branded theme park. It's a place of superlatives -- the world's fastest rollercoaster, Formula Rossa, and the world's highest rollercoaster loop, all under the gigantic, iconic red roof built to suggest the interior of a Ferrari car. As well as state-of-the-art driving simulators, historical exhibitions and amazing live shows, there are lots of Italian cafes and restaurants dotted around, plus shops for buying genuine Ferrari merchandise.

This isn't all Yas Island has for petrolheads -- there's also Yas Marina Circuit, home of the Formula1TM Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, known as the Arabian version of Monaco, with 21 corner twists. It's much more than just an F1 venue, though -- it offers an exciting series of track day packages, Driver Experience, Passenger Experience, Private Driving Tuition, where you can drive the full circuit in your own car, with tuition from professional instructors. At the Yas Racing School you can receive instruction in a series of genuine racing cars, and then drive one, or be driven in an F1 two-seater.

As its name suggests, the Yas Marina Circuit is set around the fabulous Yas Marina, a beautiful spot by day or night, and a vibrant venue offering a myriad dining and leisure facilities. The 227 berths for luxury yachts form an impressive backdrop to the line-up of delightful restaurants, which as the sun sets transforms into a buzzing night-life and entertainment scene. There is something for everyone here, including boat charters, water-sports, a children's playground and a musical water fountain.

Nearby is the futuristic Yas Waterworld, another place of superlatives -- where you will find every water ride imaginable, five of them one-of-a-kind worldwide. You can try the world's first, and biggest, hydromagnetic-powered tornado water slide, or the Bandit Bomber, the first rollercoaster with on-board laser and water effects. The theme of the park, based on Abu Dhabi's heritage, is the Lost Pearl -- as you make your way round the attractions, you follow the story of a young Emirati girl on her quest to find a legendary pearl -- and the huge pearl itself sits on top of Jebel Dana, the heart of the park's towering summit.
