Jumeirah Walk, a community shopping center, occupies the ground level of the multitower Jumeirah Beach Residence complex, a new narrow island between the marina and the sea. The 1.7 km long shopping promenade currently hosts nearly 170 retailers and is set to soon reach the 305 mark.

The Walk has a strong representation of new concepts and brands in a vast range of goods and services including Food & Beverage, Home Furnishing, Décor and Art Galleries, Women, Men & Children Apparel; Fashion & Accessories, Health & Cosmetics, Jewellery, Culture, Leisure & Sports and Supermarkets and other neighbourhood commodity stores and services.

The Walk @ JBR would consist of two levels and will host over 400 outlets including 45 restaurants, coffee shops bakeries and new lifestyle light Food & Beverage Concepts located directly on the beachfront and all over the community.

The best way to see The Walk is on foot; but if your feet are tired and hot, take a time out at the Feet First reflexology centre, where a 30-minute foot massage at affordable cost. With its proximity to the shore, the pavement cafes are buffeted by warm sea winds, making outside dining comfortable even with the summer heat approaching . At the shopping plaza level, every shop from supermarkets, pharmacies, entertainment outlets and beauty salons can be found.

A large car park provides great access to the beach and sea. In this area there is also an abundance of pretty shells, which many like to collect as holiday mementoes. Volleyball, football and kite flying are popular sports on this long stretch of sand, while some prefer to top up their tans or enjoy family picnics under the shade of their own umbrellas.
